Vines

Darlington Vineyard has 5000 vines of four varieties; Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc.

The annual yield is between 7 and 10 tonnes.

The trellising method used is vertical shoot positioning and the aim is to produce  2kg of fruit from each plant.  The rows face north east on a sloping block allowing the cool air to drain out the bottom of the vineyard and emolliate the effects of frost.  The vines are hand tended and picked ensuring the utmost care.
